【摘要】:Thecompositionofalubricatingoilhasalargeeffectonthecharacteristicsandusesoftheoil.Thedeterminationofsaturates,aromaticsandpolarsisakeyanalysisofthiscomposition.Thecharacterizationofthecompositionoflubricatingoilsisimportantindeterminingtheirinterchangeabilityforuseinblendingetcetera.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalaromaticsandtotalsaturatesinadditive-freelubebasestocksusinghighperformanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)withrefractiveindex(RI)detection.Thistestmethodisapplicabletosamplescontainingtotalaromaticsintheconcentrationrangeof0.2to46mass%.1.1.1Polarcompounds,ifpresent,arecombinedwiththetotalaromatics.Precisionwasdeterminedforbasestockswithpolarscontentx003C;1.0mass%.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
