【摘要】:Thepurposeofthispracticeistopreparespecimensofchemicallygroutedsoilsfortestinginunconfinedortriaxialcompression,whenthetestdataistobeusedfordesignpurposes.Note38212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythisstandardisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspection/etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotinitselfassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thispracticecoversthelaboratorypreparationofchemicallygroutedsoilspecimensforuseinlaboratoryteststodeterminedesignstrengthparameters.Note18212;Thispracticemaynotbeapplicabletogroutmixtureswithgeltimesshorterthanthetimerequiredtosaturatethespecimenwithgrout.1.2Thespecimensareintendedforbothstrengthandmodulusdeterminationinunconfinedandconfinedcompressiontesting.Note28212;PreparationmethodsforspecimenstobeusedforotherpurposesaredescribedinTestMethodsD4219andD5202.1.3Thispracticerequirestheinjectionofgroutintosoilspecimensalreadyfabricatedtoadesireddensity.1.4AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinPracticeD6026.1.4.1Themethodusedtospecifyhowdataarecollected,calculated,orrecordedinthisstandardisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheaccuracytowhichthedatacanbeappliedindesignorotheruses,orboth.Howoneappliestheresultsobtainedusingthisstandardisbeyonditsscope.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard,exceptasnotedbelow.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunits,whichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.1.7Thispracticeoffersasetofinstructionsforperformingoneormorespecificoperations.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthispracticemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaprojectsmanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.1.8Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.
